Our approach to dementia care is centred on fostering an environment of compassion, love, dignity and understanding. Our teams across both of our dementia specialist home, St Catherine’s and The Manor at St Catherine’s, understand and are fully prepared to meet the unique challenges posed by dementia care and tailor their approaches accordingly.

Emphasis on space and using the latest design and technology research in the field of dementia, to create spaces that make sure that every single aspect of the environment is dementia friendly is also central to our approach.

Combined, these two go a long way to nurturing the perfect culture and environment to enable those living with dementia to feel safe, loved, respected and comfortable.

Our approach.

Spotting signs early.

The first small signs of dementia are the most important, as they could be an indication of something more serious, so it’s important for families and carers to be aware of any small but noticeable changes.

Detecting these signs sooner rather than later is key to effectively managing symptoms and finding the best treatment and support available.

Let’s take a look at some common symptons and how to spot them…

When it comes to dementia, every journey and path is different. We explore some of these journeys in our case studies, as we take a look at how dementia impacts not only the person living with it, but all of those in the support network, from carers, families and friends.

Making a real
difference to
peoples lives.

St Catherine's has been the best thing to happen to Dad for a long time. He’s so happy now and we’re very grateful that he’s able to live here. The staff are so caring and treat the residents like their own family.”

My late wife spent almost a year in the home, and the care she received was second to none. You had to see the love and patience at first hand to truly understand. I will always be grateful for that time.”
